Union Street Arches SE1

Vast and empty arches in Union Street, London Bridge cried out for a painting event. We had to work quickly as the arches had been sold and renovations were immanent. There was a really cool cafe area called The Union which held late night film projections and in the daytime was a community social space. They had built a beautiful kitchen from recycled wood, an outdoor wooden deck area and generous loos. The space was built and created by the same group who made The lido. One of the arches was empty though, and with a little help from friends, P4F was able to hold an event over a few days in the summer of 2012.
